Hello, I know almost nothing about graphic design, but I have a question. I hired someone to design a logo and the first picture I saw looked great and I was very happy. However, this picture was a .jpg with a background and I need to be able to use my logo in multiple ways and with different backgrounds. I was also supplied with a couple of vector files with the extension .ai and a .png file that has transparent background. However, all other instances of the logo look flat and do not have the 3d effects of the first file. Is there a reason I can’t have the nice looking version with a transparent background. I don’t want to be stuck with the same background for every use of the nice version of the logo. When asked I was told the nice version was a 3d mock up. I don’t know what that means?

Thank you for any help you can lend.
