How to know which particular component is getting clicked? (…

Hello everybody!

Hope you all are staying safe.

I am doing a COVID tracker with my friend and we are trying to create a line graph that displays the historical data of the confirmed cases on the right as shown below.

The web page

We are planning to place the onClick function on the 1. Bar Graph and based on which province is selected the 2. Line Graph will get populated with that data.

How can we know which particular province is getting clicked though? And how do we access that particular province’s name?

I can see the name in the props children object, but I don’t know how to access it:

Since the code is too long I will link our GitHub page:

https://github.com/covid-tracker/covid-tracker/tree/master/src

Lol, we know the code is a mess right now.

We used Recharts (1. Bar Graph) & VictoryChart (2. Line graph) for this project.

Victory Chart: https://formidable.com/open-source/victory/docs/victory-line

Rechart: https://recharts.org/en-US/api/BarChart

Thank you so much!

Showing post categories on the main page or not?

Hi,

I'm experimenting with my website and I would like your advice about the blog post categories.

https://preview.redd.it/vxvlja9vnky41.png?width=1945&format=png&auto=webp&s=eb8fbe379c5487dfed283c1d44daac66848ce94f

I personally think it's prettier without the categories showing, but in term of SEO or UX, is it better to leave them there?

Thank you

  5. how much you earn from each platform (you can avoid this if you don’t feel comfortable to answer) ?

  6. what items that sell well (posters, logos, patterns…)?

Is there a name for this type of layout? : web_design

I’m building out a component library, and I’m including a layout like the one attached, with a large image that extends to the edge of the screen, and some vertically centred text on the other side. The image I’ve included technically shows two of such components, one on top of the other.

Post image

But I haven’t come across a name for this. Whenever I see it implemented in code, usually it’s given the name of the type of content it includes, e.g. ‘Features’, ‘Benefits’; or it’s just built out of existing grid components.

And I just want a name to refer to it by, that isn’t too clunky. Is there a recognised term for it? Else, what do you tend to call it?

Trying to stay true to my goals. VINCIT : graphic_design

Post image

“vincit omnia veritas”

So recently been struggling with finding a balance and control in my life I’m either all over the place or at none. Bored and without touching Photoshop for my own pleasure started Looking at old unfinished works found a piece titled VINCIT OMNIA VERITAS (truth conquers all things) and the therapy came at the right time. Sometimes we have to stay true to our life goals and missions, so we can conquer.

All in Photoshop
Flowers Devart
Additional Stock from my personal library

Hope Y’all like it.
